Cifa Parts Categories

Rubber Pistons

Standard Cifa bore sizes:

  • Ø 180 mm — compact models (e.g. K31L)
  • Ø 200 mm — mid-range popular models (e.g. K47H)
  • Ø 220 mm — medium models (e.g. K50L)
  • Ø 250 mm — larger models (e.g. K60H/K80H)

Materials: NBR, SBR, polyurethane (extended service life). PHS Magnum holds standard NBR pistons in stock for immediate despatch.

Piston wear symptoms — when to plan a replacement:

SymptomLikely causeAction

Uneven concrete flowOne piston or valve wornDiagnose; replace worn component
Increased hydraulic oil consumptionDeteriorated hydraulics or pistonsHydraulic service, replace pistons and filter

See our guide on when to replace pistons in a concrete pump for a step-by-step overview.

Ball Valve

The key diverter component in Cifa pumps (an alternative design to the Putzmeister S-valve).

Configuration:

  • Hardened-steel rotating ball
  • Replaceable wear inserts (on selected models)
  • Hydraulic ball-actuation mechanism

Reconditioning scope:

  • O-ring and cassette seal replacement — for minor leaks
  • Wear insert replacement (where the model uses them)
  • Working surface polishing of the ball — for light wear
  • Full ball and actuator replacement — for deeper damage or corrosion

Carbotech Carbon-Fibre Boom Sections

Carbon-fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) — Cifa’s patented boom technology.

Replacement is required when:

  • Sections develop cracks (audible as a crack or snap during boom movement)
  • Mechanical impact has occurred (e.g. boom striking a structure)
  • UV degradation after extended service (over 15 years)

Ordering procedure:

  1. PHS Magnum inspection (visual check + NDT if required)
  2. Identification of the section number to be replaced
  3. Order placed with Cifa (4–8 weeks production + 1–2 weeks shipping)
  4. Removal of old section and fitting of new one in our workshop (1–2 working days)
  5. Functional test and control-system calibration

Hydraulics

  • Main hydraulic pump (drive pump) — replacement or reconditioning
  • Boom-section actuating cylinders — individual section supply
  • Control valves — with CAN-bus integration
  • Hydraulic filters — replacement every 500 engine hours
  • Hydraulic oil — ISO VG 46 standard for Cifa

Seals and Small Items

  • Water-cooled pump seals
  • High-pressure valve seals
  • O-rings (various sizes) — complete reconditioning kits
  • Pressure and temperature sensors
  • LED boom lighting

Frequently Asked Questions

Directly from the Cifa distributor in Italy (Senago, near Milan — the manufacturer's headquarters). Standard items (pistons, filters, oils, sensors) are delivered by courier in 7–14 working days. Specialist parts (Carbotech boom sections, complete ball valves) take 2–6 weeks. PHS Magnum coordinates group orders to secure better pricing and faster logistics.

For wear items (rubber pistons, filters, oils), certified OEM-equivalent alternatives from leading European manufacturers are available at 20–40% less than genuine Cifa prices. For specialist components — ball valves, Carbotech boom sections, control electronics — only genuine Cifa parts are recommended. We advise on the best option when you place an order.

Carbon-fibre (Carbotech) boom sections have the longest lead time of any Cifa component. They are manufactured to order: production takes 4–8 weeks from order confirmation, plus 1–2 weeks for shipping — 5–10 weeks in total. For planned replacements, we always recommend ordering well in advance.

In many cases, yes. Seal replacement (O-rings and cassette seals) and surface reconditioning of the ball are feasible for light to moderate wear. Reconditioning costs significantly less than a new valve and is completed within 1–2 working days. Full replacement (typically the complete ball-and-actuator assembly) is the right choice when the ball shows deep wear, internal corrosion or mechanical damage.

PHS Magnum stocks the fastest-wearing Cifa consumables: rubber pistons (standard sizes), hydraulic filters, hydraulic oil ISO VG 32/46, and generic seals. Larger items — valves, hydraulics, electronics — are imported from Italy in 7–14 days.

Cifa continues to supply parts for most models for 15–20 years after their launch. For very old machines (over 20 years), some lines may be discontinued. In that case, the strategy is: 1) certified OEM alternative from a European supplier; 2) reconditioning of the existing part; 3) custom fabrication of small mechanical components in our workshop. We always consult the customer before making a recommendation.

Yes. We issue EU VAT invoices in EUR for customers from DACH and other EU countries. Prices in EUR are based on the Cifa Italy price list plus our distribution margin. The PLN/EUR exchange rate applied is that of the order date. We have a dedicated EUR bank account for direct transfers without currency conversion costs.

Piston size depends on the bore diameter of the delivery cylinder for a specific model. Cifa commonly uses 180, 200, 220 and 250 mm bores. The safest approach is to quote the pump model or read the size marking off the worn piston. When you order, we advise on size and material (NBR, SBR or polyurethane) based on the concrete type and duty cycle.

Typical signs of piston wear are: reduced pumping output, water or cement slurry appearing in the water-box, uneven concrete flow, and increased hydraulic oil consumption. At the first signs it is worth scheduling a replacement to avoid cylinder bore damage.

For wear items such as rubber pistons, certified OEM-equivalent parts from European manufacturers are available that match Cifa model dimensions. For specialist components — ball valve, Carbotech sections, electronics — we recommend genuine Cifa parts only. We always confirm compatibility before dispatch.

As a general guide, hydraulic filters should be changed approximately every 500 engine hours and hydraulic oil in line with the manufacturer's documentation and oil-condition test results. The exact interval depends on operating conditions and the specific model's service manual. We set individual service schedules for fleet customers.
